A Night in Vegas!

Most of last week consisted of helping my little sis plan her hubby’s 30th birthday party. We had fun making cupcakes, editing the embarrassing slideshow of him as a child and decorating the hall Vegas style!

Trick or Treat!

I love Halloween! I took Daisy & Lola to the Pumpkin Grotto to choose the best pumpkins to carve and then we went for a walk in the woods to soak up the gorgeous autumn afternoon sunshine. Gotta make the most of these magical days : )

The girls were busy collecting armfuls of twigs and leaves, but I managed to get some good shots. Here are a few of my faves…

Franco + Shelley : West Sussex Wedding

WOW, what a wedding! I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting this wedding for my friend Nicki and we had so much fun working together again!
As a details girl, I was in my element. There were so many great little touches to this wedding from the elephant theme running throughout, right up to the Bollywood style grande finale! There was certainly no shortage of beautiful things to photograph.

The ceremony was held at Slindon Church, and the reception was at the gorgeous Fitzleroi Barn. To see more from their day, click on the slideshow at the bottom of the page…

Franco + Shelley wanted to stop on the way to the venue for some portraits, we couldn’t resist getting a few shots by the Arundel folly – even if it did mean trespassing – I think it was worth the risk!

Stacey + Mark : Bognor Regis Golf Club Wedding

I travelled down to West Sussex again last weekend to 2nd shoot for my friend Nicki Feltham. The day started off threatening to rain, but luckily for us the weather stayed dry, and the overcast skies gave us the perfect soft light for shooting the wedding portraits.

We kicked off at Stacey’s parents where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. It was an emotional day & quite a few tears were shed as Stacey got ready. She looked radiant in her beautiful wedding dress, and the scrummy colour scheme of soft creams and rich chocolate browns made for a theme that looked good enough to eat!

They were married in the picturesque village of Felpham at the Parish Church of St.Mary the Virgin. The reception was held in the clubhouse at Bognor Regis Golf Club.

Holly + Stuart : Worthing Golf Club Wedding

My good friend and photographer, Nicki, asked me to second shoot Holly + Stuart’s wedding with her last month as she was only 2 weeks away from her due date!

We had a great day, and Holly + Stuart looked amazing. The weather was wonderful and both the church and Worthing Golf Club made stunning backdrops for the photos. There were a lot to choose from, but here are some of my favorites from the day…

Natalie + Sarah : Civil Partnership

I had the pleasure of being asked to 2nd shoot at Natalie & Sarah’s Civil Partnership for my friend & fellow photographer Nicki Feltham. As I mentioned here, Nicki was about 4 weeks away from her due date with bubba number 3, and just wanted a helping hand incase she went into labour early : )

The day went without a hitch. It was a beautiful ceremony & the reception was held at the gorgeous Burlington Hotel overlooking the seafront. We took advantage of the wonderful location & whisked the girls off after the ceremony for a few relaxed portraits by the beach…

We couldn’t end our photo session at the beach without visiting the ice cream van!

I have just spent the last two weekends 2nd shooting for my wonderful friend and photographer Nicki Feltham, and we had so much fun!

I emailed Nicki way back last year to ask her some questions about an album company she was using, and we hit it off straight away! Emails were flying backwards & forwards, and we discovered we had so much in common. We have now become firm friends, visiting each other for days out at the beach or farm with the kids.

When Nicki told me she was expecting her third baby boy (due next week!), she asked me to help her out at a few weddings close to her due date, just incase baby no.3 decided to come early! I didn’t have anything booked, so I jumped at the chance. Drove down to West Sussex & we spent the last few weekends shooting 2 great weddings. It was so much fun working together, and I am looking forward to 2nd shooting two more weddings with Nicki in September.

I am so excited to share the photos with you, but I have to wait until Nicki’s couples have seen them first so it may be a few more weeks yet. But here are a few behind the scenes snaps in the meantime…

Bluebells + hail stones!

Last weekend I drove to Kent and spent the weekend with my great friends. In between catching up over dinner and watching the kids playing in the garden, we had time to fit in a family photo session. The aim of the shoot was to capture a relaxed group shot of the whole family as a surprise for their parents 40th anniversary in June. The location was a stunning bluebell field literally across the road from where they live. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting – but the weather had other ideas!

As soon as we set out the dark clouds started to roll in, but I remained hopeful seeing clear blue skies in the distance. We started shooting, but within 10 minutes the heavens opened and we were hit by a huge hail storm!! Luckily it passed over quickly, but by this point the kids were freezing cold and not loving my camera. Nevermind…these things happen with kids, and the weather – well thats out of my control!

We decided to head back to the house, and I finally managed to snag the all important group photo once the kids had warmed up : )

Matilda’s mum loved Eva’s storyboard so much, that I designed one for them. These look great printed onto a large canvas and I love the fresh spring colours in this one…
